Children teach us the world
is not fixed as we imagined
but pliable, able to be shaped
by faith and wonder.
Broken branches become swords,
bed sheets become shelters
set up in pathless forests.
We can only enter
when we leave our wallets, watches, keys
by the entrance
and crawl on our knees into an illuminated world
we were ever meant to inhabit.
Theirs is a kingdom of curiosity, of endless discovery, smashed shapeless into eternity.
